With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you can join the multidisciplinary team at The Farndon Unit in Newark which has a strong emphasis on teamwork, and where you will provide care for service users who suffer mental health illnesses and or service users with personality disorders. As a Social Worker you will manage a complex caseload and be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitate group activities, and will contribute to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future. You will report to the Safeguarding Lead, and will manage internal investigations and liaise with home authorities for service users during their admission and discharging process, while enjoying access to a range of training opportunities that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations. As a Social Worker you will be: Referrals to LADO and Local Authority in line with safeguarding and assessments Educating Hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters. Completing a full annual social care reassessment within the CPA format. Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services and associated support services Participating in 1:1 supervision To be successful in this role, you'll need: To have a Social Work England registration A Social Work degree Experience within similar environment Where you will be working: Location: The Farndon Unit, Farndon Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 4SW You will be working at the Farndon Unit, a purpose-built low secure hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma specific pathway, for women with complex care needs. You will join the multidisciplinary team in providing specialist care for people with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder and/or mild learning disability. The combination of general low secure wards and a recovery ward area (also within the low secure perimeter) provide a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering recovery and rehabilitation.
