Our client is focused on sourcing ethically grown produce from around the world for UK Retailers and due to their continued growth they are now looking for a Customer Account Manager to join their sales team in Stratford Upon Avon. The Person To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in Fresh Produce we would consider a Junior Account Manager looking for the next step in this role , ideally you have experience of delivering and exceeding sales targets , managing volume requirements and gross budgets with your customers , whilst delivering annual growth plans and strategy for both new and organic customers, working alongside the procurement and technical teams supporting the team. The Role Requirements Work with procurement team to ensure you are achieving the most competitive costs for customers whilst driving trade opportunities beneficial to both our client and their customers Unlock savings for customers by continually reviewing and concept generation. Working alongside Technical & Procurement to deliver and execute PAS targets, best qualityand timely delivery of product Delivering the best new and existing product development. Communicating technical issues with the customer team and liaise internally to achieve a satisfactory outcome. Work with technical where required, to deliver on packaging and sustainability targets. Effectively communicate any supply issues with the customer Assume responsibility for the management and development of customer accounts and delivery on their KPIs providing support to the wider sales team. Establish, develop, and maintain commercially beneficial relationships with your customers, work in a result driven manner for the good of both customer and our client Identify opportunities within your customers, to deliver profitable business growth, where appropriate building trust providing cost breakdowns and transparency Use insight data to propose, justify and identify opportunities for your customers. Achieve customer sales KPI's, volume, margin (if applicable) and waste targets. Ensure promotional plans are planned in advance (dependent on customer timelines / submission requirements) with customers, to ensure driving sales is achieved. Customer Sales KPI's to be balanced with meeting your customers technical KPI's (improvement in CPMU, quality & service level). Plan and deliver regular customer meeting reviews. Ensure all next steps are recorded and completed. Ensure regular KPI updates and product analysis is sent to buyers. Any issues / opportunities are addressed. Ensure you have a good understanding of all retailers and what is going on within the organic market. Ensure customers are up to date with organic market trends (utilizing information from OTB and Soil Association) and internal insight data. Work with HOS and sales team to collectively deliver and exceed sales objectives by customers, as set in the annual budget. Execute weekly & monthly internal sales meetings, providing a full analogy of your customer's growth/decline. Work with direct reports to keep internal customer trackers up to date and accurate. Understand and maintain sales system within Prophet. Monitor packing rates including minimum order charges and transport rates with the Finance manager. Provide procurement team with 12 week and weekly rolling forecasts for your customers Ensure continuous development on understanding products and seasonal calendars. Help and support to drive sustainability agenda. Cover in the sales team weekend Rota, once every 6 weekends.
