Based primarily on-site at their Telford service centre, with occasional on-site work at customer locations, you will be responsible for the calibration, validation, and repair of electrical/electronic test instruments and mechanical torque tools to ensure functionality and accuracy. Key responsibilities: Perform calibration, validation, and repair of electrical/electronic, mechanical or analytical test instruments. Conduct routine tasks following prescribed procedures and technical duties that may require judgment. Solve technical problems of varying scope and complexity related to test and calibration processes. Understand customer requirements through effective communication, both face-to-face and written. Travel to customer sites for on-site calibrations (less than 25% of the time). Requirements: Certifications as an electronic/electrical technician with relevant calibration experience. IT skills, including proficiency in Windows and Office applications. Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken. Ability to confidently address customer inquiries and anticipate problems. Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and working independently. Capability to obtain UK security clearance. Calibration Engineer Force & Torque Derbyshire Monday - Friday (40 hrs per week) £25,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience) We are seeking a Calibration Engineer (Force & Torque) for a well-established structural / construction materials testing organisation. This is a Monday to Friday role offering flexible start / finish times, working out of there UKAS accredited laboratory. The company offers a wide range of calibration tests, including Dimensional, Electrical, Mass, and Force & Torque across many types of instrumentation. Main Duties (not an exhaustive list): Perform calibrations in the lab or at Customer premises as necessary Assist with maintaining lab maintenance Produce and maintain lab procedures and uncertainty budgets Liaise with customers to understand and satisfy their requirements in a professional manner Maintain electronic filing system Experience Required: Education / training in Mechanical Engineering Relevant training in metrology and calibration activities Experience working in a UKAS accredited laboratory Understanding of BS ISO 17025 Hands on calibration experience in Force / Torque If you would like to discuss the role further, please click to apply now!
