Trainee Plastics Fabricator £11.00 - Mon-Fri - 8am - 4.30pm Our Client is seeking a Trainee for their work shop. They manufacture of a range of different plastic products working with acrylic, polycarbonate, PETG, acetal producing Point of Sale items; Counter Display Units; Free Standing Display Units and prototype and bespoke items. Full training to include: Setting & operating CNC machines Auto cad drawing, solidworks How to read and work from engineering drawings polishing, bending, gluing and packaging of items. Personal skills required: Must be self-motivated and proactive as it is important that work is manufactured to customers' deadlines Be able to work in a team to deadlines and client briefs Must be punctual, reliable and have a hard-working attitude. Ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues is essential to ensure jobs are accurate, on time and of high quality. CNC Machinist (Setter/Operator) We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality components and parts. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of machining processes. Monday to Friday 0800 - 1630 £12.00 - £16.00ph (dependant on experience) Immediate Start Responsibilities: Set up CNC machines including loading raw materials, tooling, and fixtures. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations. Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for each machining operation. Operate CNC machines to produce parts within specified tolerances and quality standards. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and productivity. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and equipment. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality requirements. Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions as needed. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Requirements: Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation. Familiarity with software such as Adobe Illustrator and Solid works Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience with machining materials such as metals, plastics, or composites preferred. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and machining processes.
