Sheridan Maine is excited to collaborate exclusively with our client based on the Isle of Wight, in their search for an Accounts Assistant. This position will be on a temp-perm basis. In this position, you will directly report to the Financial Controller and play a pivotal role in a range of financial activities. Working closely with the Financial Controller, your key areas of responsibility will include: Monthly accounts preparation Balance sheet and bank reconciliations Processing of VAT returns. Maintaining the Fixed Asset register. Bank reconciliations Processing and reconciliation of Credit Card, and cash expense claims. Posting bank payments Supplier statement reconciliations and processing purchase ledger invoices. Dealing with suppliers to resolve queries on purchase invoices. To succeed in this role you should have the following skills and qualifications: Previous experience working in a similar broad accounts role. Ideally AAT Level 3 or equivalent is desirable. Strong IT knowledge and experience including Excel. Excellent time management and communication skills. You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
