Job title: Commercial Insurance Broker Salary: to £40,000 Location: Newcastle Purpose of the role: Exciting opportunity to join a market leading broking organisation as they expand by opening their first branch in Newcastle. The role will see you assist in the success and growth of the branch, whilst working closely with the branch director and account executives, you will be responsible for broking and placement of new and existing commercial insurance risks. Key responsibilities: Broking mid/large commercial and corporate insurance risks. Working with AE's you will design and tailor insurance solutions in line with client's requirements. Liaise with decision makers, stakeholders, insurers etc to provide a cost-effective broking service. Adhered to company and FCA regulations and guidelines. Identify appropriate markets for placement of corporate insurance risks. Provide technical and expert advice to key clients. Cultivate strong insurer relationships. Prepare market presentations and negotiate with insurers. Deliver tailored insurance solutions in conjunction with branch directors, account executives and risk managers. Keep Acturis records up to date. Experience: A technical background with experience gained within commercial/corporate insurance broking. A comprehensive understanding of most classes of commercial insurance risk including property, motor, fleet, EL, PL, commercial combined, etc. Confident handling new and existing business, providing quotations, handling renewals, MTA's, market submissions, presentations, negotiations, etc. Good relationships with local and regional insurers. Acturis experience would be preferred. Progression towards achieving CII qualifications. Strong presentations and negotiation skills. Ability to work as part of a wider team and contribute to the team. Track record of building strong insurer and client relationships. Acturis experience essential as well as being computer literate.
