The role would be supporting the Area Sales Manager by going into existing customers (Builders Merchants) and doing product demonstrations, Training the staff and customers, up selling the products and Merchandising. PRINCIPLE SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES: To drive sales through product demonstrations and customer product training exceeding KPIs targeted. To build and maintain strong relationships with all customers, supporting the ASMs as tasked. To ensure products are displayed within Builder Merchant sector within geographical area, supporting open days and campaigns set by the commercial team. To ensure centrally agreed marketing campaigns are executed in all sectors and all contracts. To update and fully use CRM system daily. To undertake administrative duties including weekly KPI reports, ensuring all admin is completed on time in full. To undertake a program of personal skill development as the role develops. To support, cover and perform regional duties. CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT: The role operates in a highly competitive, dynamic, and innovative environment. The role is home based, without direct supervision and requires a high degree of self-motivation. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Product/market knowledge is desired. Your main responsibilities will be: Account Management - To manage several existing and well-established industrial distributors, across the South of the UK Developing New Business - Finding and developing new end user business where possible, often jointly with our distribution partners. Establish new key customer relationships and help establish contractual supply agreements before passing sales responsibilities to the regional teams under structured arrangements. Support the Commercial Director to establish strategic opportunities for the business. Work in collaboration with all Departmental Managers to support improvements in customer service opportunities. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Conduct bi-monthly in person meetings with each Area Sales Manager to assess sales performance in front of customers, identify opportunities for improvement. Provide written reports on these meetings with agreed action plans to couple consistent growth in sales and margin targets alongside individual personal development plans. The written reports from the bi-monthly meetings to act as baseline data for Grading Reviews and Training Opportunities for further personal development. Provide monthly reports against each Area Sales Manager region to assess sales and margin performance against agreed targets, at a customer and product level, and to identify action plans to address performance improvements to each individual within the team. Monitor pricing trends and requirements to ensure all sales opportunities are fully evaluated via Lowest Selling Pricing, Margin limits to 25% GM by the Commercial Manager and passing opportunities below 25% Margin to the Commercial or Managing Director. Identify new product opportunities and make the business case to introduce these products against agreed target opportunity areas. Participate in Exhibitions and Events to agreed strategic plans.
