Your new company Hays is working with a national shopfitting company based in the East Midlands who require a Working Foreman. They work with many well know food and beverage companies, along with a handful of retail companies too, boasting consistent repeat business. This role will be either on a long-term temporary contract, or on a temp to perm contract. Your new role As a working foreman, you will be responsible for driving the workforce on site whilst being prepared to muck in and physically support the team when required. You will plan daily work schedules, project tasks, and resource allocation and ensure that project timelines are met by efficient planning and coordination. You will review construction plans and specifications to maintain accuracy and quality of work whilst enforcing adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards. When on-site issues arise, you will be able to make quick decisions to prevent project delays and troubleshoot challenges and find practical solutions. What you'll need to succeed To be considered, you must have relevant experience within the shopfitting industry and ideally come from a Joinery / Carpentry background, however other trades may be considered if relevant to the sector. Travel and working away from home will be common, so you must be prepared to do so Monday - Friday. SSSTS / SMSTS valid CSCS card essential You must take pride in the work you and your team produce, with the ability to effectively manage a team of trades to ensure high quality work that is delivered on time and to the client desired specification. What you'll get in return £22 - £25 per hour (minimum of 9 hours paid every day). All travel expenses covered. If lodging away, accommodation can be booked for you or an allowance paid out depending on your preference. Up to 12 hours per day, 5 days per week - overtime very rare. You can either remain as a long-term subby or go on to the books if successful in passing a probation period. LTD CIS or PAYE available - no Sole trader CIS.
