This exciting role is based at Cobham Wood a SSSI wood pasture restoration project, formerly the deer park of nearby Cobham Hall, & historically the seat of the Earls of Darnley.
Rangers within the National Trust are the custodians of our estates & landscapes.
We are recruiting an Assistant Ranger to assist in the practical delivery of our grant funded Species Recovery Project here on the Lizard in Cornwall.
You will work alongside the project's existing Assistant Ranger delivering practical habitat creation and restoration activities that will aid the fortunes of some of the UK's rarest species.
This role will be key to the delivery of this significant nature conservation project and will run until the project end date (31st March 2025).

As an Active Outdoors Assistant you will have a passion for delivering great active experiences in the outdoors.
Combining your excellent customer service skills with knowledge and ability to instruct others in safe activity, you will help our visitors access our summer of play offer as well as ensuring equipment is maintained and stored appropriately.

As one of our Horticulture Apprentices, you will be part of our horticulture teams, helping to look after our 224 Historic gardens, playing a vital role in delivering our conservation and climate change strategies, helping to undertake the regular tasks and horticultural maintenance, conservation, and care of the gardens to safeguard them for the future.
You do not need experience for this role, just plenty of enthusiasm and a desire to learn.
Working with volunteers and local communities, you'll be making a vital contribution to the Trust's cause of protecting and caring for places so that people and nature can thrive now and into the future.
