Accounts Assistant Location: Bury St Edmunds Salary: Up to £12 per hour, dependent on experience Job Type: 4-month temp to perm We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our client's team on a temporary basis with the potential for permanent employment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in bookkeeping and administrative tasks, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of Sage50 software. Day-to-day of the role: Assist with bookkeeping tasks using Sage50, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures. Manage credit control, maintaining healthy cash flow by ensuring timely payments from customers. Print and input purchase ledger invoices into Sage, maintaining organised financial records. Respond to email queries from customers, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues efficiently. Handle absence leave requests, keeping track of employee attendance and leave balances. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations across all business operations Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience with finance administrative duties. Proficiency in using Sage50 software. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
