Job Role: Bench Hand Joiner Location: Leicester Shift: Days Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour Benefits: Free on-site parking, cycle to work scheme, company events, centrally located, good transport links. The Role: We are currently recruiting for Bench hand Joiners / Cabinet Makers to join our client based in Leicester due to continued growth. You will be working on high end commercial bespoke joinery projects. The Bench Hand Joiner Candidate: Experience working with furniture or bespoke joinery experience - Desirable Experience working with MDF & Laminates - Essential Ability to read technical drawings Ability to comprise, read and interpret cutting lists Assembly of furniture Use of hand and power tools Fill sand and finish wooden products Work in a safe manner, adhering to company procedures Good communications skills A team player with a strong work ethic. Able to work amongst a team. The Client This is a manufacturing business with a fantastic reputation based in Leicestershire. Interaction Recruitment are seeking a Joiner for our client based in Oldbury. Working hours are below but you will required to be flexible. Monday to Friday 0700 - 1630 Day-to-day responsibilities of a bench joiner may include: Working to production schedules Interpreting technical plans and diagrams Estimating the materials needed for a job and producing cutting lists Selecting wood that's suitable for a particular job Measuring timber and marking it up ahead of cutting Cutting timber to required dimensions Programming computerised cutting equipment Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently Assembling timber structures in a workshop, such as window and door frames Conducting quality checks and reporting to senior staff.
