Summary Holidays are booming in the north east and we are looking for people to work preparing our holiday cottages for our guests. You'll need to be available between 10am and 3.00pm (there may be flexibility with the finish time if you have prior commitments). Because Lindisfarne Castle is in a rural area, please think about how you'd be able to get here for work, before you apply for this job. Hours: 5 hours per week. The main changeover days are Monday, Friday and Saturday, however, short breaks mean that changeover days can also fall on other days of the week, and you would have the opportunity to work other, additional hours if you are able to do so. We don't work Sundays. Rotas are issued in advance, and we try to accommodate other commitments where possible. Salary: £11.50 per hour Duration: Permanent. What you'll be doing On change-over days, you'll make sure that everything's clean and prepared for our guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well presented and welcoming for our guests. We'd also like you to keep an eye out and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing along with replacing any broken items from the store supplies. Assessment of service users and carers with complex needs in relation to home environment. Experience in Moving and Handling is essentialas well as Single handed care knowledge. Assess and treat patients requiring ward-based rehabilitation and assessment for discharge planning. Working along side the Team Manager. Visits to residents homes will be required. To ensure collaboration with our partner agencies. Provide expert advice and intervention regarding complex manual handling situations. Undertake assessments and documentation associated with Blue Badge applications. Experience of functional assessment experience of working with people with disabilities/vulnerable people. Providing expert advice, and assessments for equipment and home modifications. Recommending adaptations. An awareness of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable people, plus an understanding of the importance of dignity & respect when dealing with people. To Be Successful. Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the community. Experienced Adult Social Care OT required with minimum of 2 years' experience. Previous experience working with adaptations. Specialising in Single handed care/ complex moving and handling. Manual handling experience. HCPC Registration. Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you). Eligibility to work in the UK.
