Become a Junior Digital Merchandiser Reporting into the Digital Merchandising Manager for the Books category, you will be responsible for the creation of product content on the website from a skilfully crafted description to the relevant attributes of optimisation. Your Mission You will be working within the scope of The Works' multichannel strategic pillars on a recently launched Salesforce platform. You will be focused on growing the digital sales performance of TheWorks.co.uk website and DSV channels, specifically for the Books category. Support the Digital Merchandising Manager and contribute to the launch of website campaigns. Set up and publish products to TheWorks.co.uk website, ensuring that each critical element: title, image, description, and attributes are all completed and optimised in a timely and consistent manner. Ensure all priority products are identified, set up and published to maximise sales opportunity. Continually enhance and optimise product copy and content, to maintain relevant data if product specifications are tweaked and to improve upon existing detail. Monitor sales information at a product and category level and make data-driven decisions to promote the relevant products and campaigns throughout the year as efficiently as possible. Build strong relationships with Distribution, Buying and Stock teams to collate and send back all product samples required for photography and product set up. Ensure the best selection of images are processed throughout the day. Clearly communicate any retouching requirements on product photography. Conduct regular site walks and feedback all related site issues to relevant parties. Review and action weekly zero search' report and ensure search results are fully optimised. Check customer product reviews and take action to optimise all products where feedback is negative. Optimise all new DSV SKUs to TheWorks.co.uk website ensuring that each critical element: title, image, description, and attributes are all completed in a timely and consistent manner. Add improved additional imagery to DSV SKUs on top of imagery provided by supplier. Feedback on price differences of DSV SKUs vs wider market. You'll be the one accountable for running day to day operations on the floor, supporting your functions with their learning and development needs. Your Mission Stock control, ensure that stock pots are within SLA and investigation completed for anything aged Roll call, Planning and capability. Deliver Shift Briefs updating colleagues on Health and Safety, Volumes, Site updates, deployments. Attendance management, Conduct RTW's, Payroll updates. Ensure pre shift checks are completed, accident reporting, near misses, site is clear of any hazards. HR, investigations, right to work checks, performance management, daily site audits. Hourly site updates, ensure short interval control is sent out and on track for daily outputs. Training and development, site training documents are reviewed, and colleagues are signed off on completed tasks. Document compliance, Supplier, and delivery manifests. Asset management, equipment is logged and maintained, any damages logged and reported. Carrying out accuracy audits. Become a Merchandiser With a newly expanded Merchandising function, this role is an incredible opportunity to really help to shape our future buying and merchandising structure and the way we deal with our stock. Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, you will play a key role in our Supply Chain function. Your Mission Oversee timely delivery of stock into the warehouse, to maximise availability in line with agreed KPI's and timelines for all channels. Ensure on-time delivery through supporting the achievement of merchandising milestones within the critical path, ensuring any issues are resolved or raised where appropriate, and negotiating confidently with suppliers accordingly. Work within stock budgets to ensure stock is maintained throughout the year at the correct levels, particularly through peak periods including new product range launches, Christmas, promotion periods. Accountable for order management in line with agreed parameters and critical path. Own and manage category/range & SKU level forecasts to ensure sales, stock holding, margin and availability is optimised. Able to maintain and update the WSSI and line card management and will have had exposure to OTB and budget management. Plan and present product ranges alongside Buyer (with support of Senior merchandiser), with considerations of budget, space, ranking, buy quantities and intake phasing. Review attribute analysis to support range reviews and promotional analysis providing clear recommendations. Review weekly trading performance to identify issues and opportunities, providing clear actions to maximise profitability. Deliver the sales in line with budget and agreed strategy. Coach and develop of direct reports to potentialise performance. Skills/Behaviours That Will Set You Apart Strong numerical skills and ability to analyse and interpret data with recommendations. Experience of working in a fast-paced trading environment Currently a Merchandiser, or a Junior Merchandiser looking for your next challenge, able to demonstrate experience of forecasting and updating a WSSI.
