They must exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students of diverse ages and learning abilities. Adaptability, patience, and a passion for education are essential traits for fostering a supportive learning environment. Qualifications & Experience Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification, alongside tutoring experience, is indispensable. Relevant experience in working with young people not attending mainstream education due to behavioural issues or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Expertise in specific subjects or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths, and/or Science. Familiarity with disengaged young people or those in the care system, including experience, knowledge, and understanding. Either possessing an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service or being willing to obtain one. Understanding of and experience with Safeguarding practices.
