We are currently recruiting for General Banking Compliant Investigators.
It will pay a starting rate of £210 per day (Umbrella) - increasing to £260 after accreditation - to join our client, the Financial Ombudsman Service, the organisation that settles individual disputes between financial businesses and their customers.
This assignment will be home-based for the duration of the assignment - which is 12 months - and must be carried out from the UK - for the purposes of the assignment, the UK is defined as England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The Role
This role is instrumental in protecting our clients' money under the CASS 5 rules whilst providing an efficient and compliant service to our stakeholders.
The purpose of this role is to process and control accounting transactions relating to our clients' insurance policies.
Develop,implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
Prepare, examine or analyse accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Develop, maintain, and analyse budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Regarding AML/CFT, conduct risk, complaint, fraud, CASS, customer duty, etc.
Familiar with banking products and services and can independently formulate or revise relevant department policies and procedures, Experience in handling customer complaints; Have experience in CoP project or payment processing and be able to assist in interpreting regulatory requirements and completing CoP project testing and production
The Skills You'll Need: English fluent, Be familiar with the requirements from regulatories (FCA, PRA, BOE, etc.)
As a regulated entity the Bank has both a regulatory and statutory obligation to ensure it implements systems and controls necessary to mitigate the risks of the firm being used in connection with money laundering and / or the financing of terrorism or fraud.
Working in partnership with 1st line teams in the front and middle offices so as to ensure that the Bank can undertake business whilst sufficiently mitigating any underlying financial crime risks.
The role sits within the Banks 2nd line of defence and as such is responsible for supporting both Front Office and back-office departments by conducting detailed KYC reviews escalated to CPD - FCG.
