Direct account management Accountability for the day-to-day management of the Fixed Asset register, ensuring assets are capitalized and depreciated in line with group policies. Responsibility for Shrink, stock and stock provision accounting, reporting, forecasting and analysis. Tax Responsibility for producing the UK and Irish VAT returns, ensuring you're up to date on any VAT regulation changes and bringing them to the business for attention. Preparation of the capital allowance claims as part of the annual corporation tax computation. Develop experience in corporation and deferred tax through assisting in tax compliance submissions. Balance Sheet Responsibility for reviewing and following up on team balance sheet reconciliation. Preparation of the monthly balance sheet, and quarterly consolidated accounting statements reporting. Support the internal and external audit lead on interim and year end accounts. Business partnering and business improvement. Work with the Internal Audit team, supporting and providing insightful analysis to improve business results. Develop strong relationships with Group Finance and Tax teams and external audit and tax compliance providers. Act as a business partner to an area team, providing support to Store Managers in understanding financials and KPIs. Using and building upon your expertise this role will play a key part in our Finance transformation strategy, using new and existing tools you will deliver improvements in VAT and other Oracle Financial processes.
