The organisation operates in the construction sector, and have been successful in obtaining some of the more exciting and interesting projects in Birmingham and around the West Midlands. They are looking for an experienced individual who is ideally either immediately available or on a one week notice period, as they would like to start the on boarding and training process sooner rather than later. As an Immediately Available Management Accountant, you will be joining the team and helping produce the management accounts for the Finance Director. Alongside this you will be gaining responsibilities in budgeting and forecasting as you progress in this role. Skills Required To have experience producing management accounts for senior staff. This is an essential part of the position and will require some prior experience. To have experience interacting with senior stakeholders such as Directors and Managers. The Role: Assist the management control team to produce month-end performance including journal postings into financial ledgers and assist in producing business line revenue forecasts. Assist the Senior Management Accountant in projects/sprints to streamline the forecasting process, including the rebuilding of forecast models to implement flexible forecasting. Aid the Senior Management Accountant in the production of 3-year plans, budgets and forecasts, for activity, capital and risk, including relevant and clear analysis for presentations packs for senior management. Support the collation of management information packs and presentations for inclusion in local management reporting, group reporting & board packs. Assist the Senior Management Accountant in implementing and monitoring data controls for month end and forecasting outputs, including data management in SAS, Access, and Hyperion. Work with the Senior Management Accountant to investigate opportunities to implement business self-services and automated reporting solutions. Maintain policies and procedures, identify weaknesses in processes and introduce improvements. Skills & Attributes: Well Spoken, articulate & Punctual. Experience in a Management Accountant or simular role (Must) Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (Must) VBA & SQL Advanced skills. Strong numerical, analytical and presentation skills. ACCA or CIMA qualification (Desirable) Experience in Programming languages such as SQL, SAS, or Python (Desirable) Ability to make informed decisions based on the information available. Diligent & Accurate Strong communication skills. Highly analytical & experience to working towards tight deadlines. Ability to challenge current procedures and make recommendations. Ability to liaise and work with other departments. Strong Data & Analytical skills. Willing and able to work additional hours when appropriate.
