Finance Assistant required for local business Hourly Rate: £14 per hour Location: Wednesbury Job Type: Temporary to Permanent position - full time or part time hours are considered. Part time hours will accommodate school drop off and pick ups. We are seeking a diligent Finance Assistant for a local business in Wednesbury. The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking and will handle multiple administrative projects simultaneously. This role is integral to the smooth operation of financial processes. It would be working as part of a small and friendly team. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Process and pay invoices in a timely manner. Management of accruals and prepayments Bank reconciliations and coding of invoices, using Sage 50. Credit Control - chasing outstanding invoices and arranging prompt payment Check and update ledger balances to ensure accuracy. Scan, file, and log accounting documents, maintaining a systematic record. Update and maintain computerised accounting systems, ensuring data integrity. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a finance assistant role or similar. Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software, ideally Sage 50. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
