They are true market leaders within their industry and their brand is a household name. Our client are now seeking a Credit Controller to collect debt in a professional and timely manner. Role & Responsibilities of the Credit Controller: Responsibility for a portfolio of customer accounts focusing on collectable debt to meet targets. Requirement to learn bulk, cylinders and metered credit control processes with secondment to cover absent staff in any team when required. Learn the basics of legal action recoveries to secure County Court Judgment (CCJ) and enforcement methods. Seek every opportunity to transfer customers onto direct debit payments. Authorise release of orders where credit limits have been exceeded or accounts have been placed "on stop" (in accordance with pre-determined approval guidelines). Request credit limit increases and customer refunds where appropriate. Complete tasks in a timely manner in accordance with set deadlines. Take ownership of queries raised and liaise with other departments to resolve. About You as the Credit Controller: Proven experience in customer handling and negotiation. Strong time management and persuasive telephone skills. Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel Strong negotiator and query resolution ability. Team player and target driven. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Well organised, self-motivated and ambitious. Management the Recruitment function, implementing modern Talent Acquisition techniques & processes (paid staff & volunteers). Produce Monthly & Quarterly MI / KPI Reports for the SMT & Board of Trustees, using data to analyse performance levels & for making educated business decisions. Lead all succession planning activity. Responsible for evaluating Benefits & Pension schemes, ensuring current offering is fit for purpose & competitive. Promote a vibrant, fun & highly positive working atmosphere. Visit all sites under the organisations umbrella to show visibility. Continuous evaluation of the processes & procedures, as well as new idea development, to keep the organisation moving forward. Skills, Experience & Qualifications: Charity or Not for Profit Head of HR, HR Director, Head of People, People Director, Head of HR & OD, Head of People & Culture or similar experience is a must have. FCIPD / Degree Qualified & time served in a top level HR role. Experience of managing a large scale people function for 300 workers Extensive knowledge of HR policy, plus employment legislation & law. Experience of working effectively with staff at all levels, including with the Senior Executive Team / Board members Proven ability to think outside the box & to act strategically to bring about business improvements. A real change driver. Previous experience of leading on HR / ER / Employee Engagement project work & implementing any changes. CI & LEAN focused plus passionate about the highest level of Quality Strong with HR systems & Excel. A passionate highly driven people person who challenges the Status Quo & is a real advocate for Change / CI & EDI. Emotionally intelligent & Empathic.
