We are looking for a Sustainable Transport Assistant for our client based in Swindon. This role will assist the transport planning team in the promotion and delivery of Active Travel schemes and business travel plans. This role does require flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and some Saturdays and/or Sundays between the hours of 7am and 7pm. This is a contract running from June until October. Duties will include: Working with businesses, residents and schools to encourage the use of sustainable transport, particularly for trips to work and school. Collecting and recording data from events on the use and success of interventions/incentives to enable the team to monitor success of the project. Preparing marketing materials for residents, such as brochures, magazines and leaflets. Setting up and faciliating events in public or workplace locations to provide promotional materials and seek sign up to the interventions. The ideal candidate will have the following experience: Excellent written and verbal communication. Customer service skills with the general public. Ability to influence behaviour and show support for the project through various promotional tasks and conversations. Previous experience in a marketing or promotional role.
