Tax Accountant - FCA Regulated Fintech (Hybrid) About the Role: We are seeking a qualified Tax Accountant to join our fast-paced Fintech company based in West London. This role offers a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our tax affairs are handled efficiently and compliantly. The role will be approximately 70% tax focused / 30% accounting (reporting) focused. Responsibilities: Overseeing all aspects of corporate tax, including direct and indirect taxes (VAT etc.) Managing the full tax compliance process, ensuring timely and accurate filing of corporation tax returns and other tax obligations Identifying and mitigating potential tax risks Proactively developing and implementing tax planning strategies to optimise the company's tax position Advising on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions Liaising with external tax advisors and HMRC as needed Managing the tax provision process Maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring accurate tax records Supervising junior tax staff (if applicable) Staying up-to-date with the latest tax legislation and regulations Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting Ideal Candidate Profile: Qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or equivalent (ACA or ACCA with strong tax specialism considered) Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar tax manager role within an FCA regulated business, ideally a Fintech company Strong understanding of UK corporate tax, direct tax, and indirect tax Proven experience in managing the tax compliance process and tax planning for a fast-paced business Experience using tax accounting software packages such as Blackline or SunSystems (highly desirable) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy Benefits: Competitive day rate £350-400 (inside) Hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
