Business Development Manager - Investment Management £60,000 - £90,000 Permanent, Full Time London (Hybrid Working) Business Development Manager required to join a renowned investment management organisation on a full time permanent basis. My client is looking for an ambitious and highly motivated individual who is an experienced Business Development Manager in investment management to join their fast growing, fast paced, discretionary fund management firm. Key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager Focus on UK based independent financial advisers, proactively pursue new business - generate leads through Linkedin, cold call prospective clients, following up new business opportunities, setting up meetings, engaging and closing leads with the client service director. Sign up Financial Adviser firms and create a pipeline of business which is executed on. You will be directly responsible and accountable for the growth and retention of the organisations client and AUM base. Manage existing client relationships through ongoing servicing and support. Ensure prospective and existing MPS users fully understand the proposition including investment and service differentiators. Work in conjunction with the wider Sales team to reach business growth targets, in addition to being responsible for individual sales targets. Attend and organise seminars, conferences and events where appropriate. Raising the company profile as an ambassador. Have a good understanding of our products and services and be able to engage others around them. Become a specialist on the DFM side and how they invest for clients. Prepare content and contribute significantly to thought leadership, product commentary and broader marketing initiatives for IFAs. Sales targets, monitoring and achieving of such targets. Providing management with regular feedback across all areas, especially KPIs. Required skills and experience of the Transformation Business Analyst 5 years outbound sales experience within investment management. Experience with multi-touch outreach strategies, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and personalized messaging. Familiar with CRM systems to track and manage leads and opportunities. A keen interest in investment sales in a customer facing role. Autonomous, curious, eager to learn, and proactive approach. A keen interest in developing your knowledge and skills set. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively engage prospects through various channels. Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Resilient and adaptable, capable of handling objections and navigating complex sales cycles.
