About the Business An opportunity to be a Management Accountant for a fantastic logistics business in Dudley. The role is suited for anyone who is part-qualified or actively studying for an accounts qualification. The company are growing fast, and have plenty of progression route for studying candidates. Main Duties As a Management Accountant, your main duties include: Production of management accounts Commercial analysis and reporting Producing monthly profit and loss accounts and variance reports Reviewing operational income and expenditure Ensuring accuracy of monthly reporting is maintained to a high standard Monitoring performance indicators Working with Commercial Accountants to produce performance reports for quarterly reviews along with rolling P&L forecasts Identifying opportunities to improve cost management Location / Office / Culture This role is hybrid, with three days in the office and two from home. RM Recruit are proud to be working with a brilliant organisation based in Stourbridge who are on the lookout for a bright, confident Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time, 6-month contract basis. Our client is able to offer flexible, hybrid working with the office presence set at once per week. You will assume a pivotal role in finance and possess full responsibility of the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts. Main duties include, but not be limited to: Processing balance sheet reconciliations Preparing detailed monthly management accounts and periodic forecasts for presentation to budget holders with strict adherence to agreed reporting timelines. Help implement systems and controls which will improve management information. Ensure that the Financial Regulations are understood and being complied with throughout the organisation overall. Monthly review of rotas, payroll, and commissioned income to identify any issues of overstaffing or commissioned rates. Assist in preparation of the annual budget. Assisting Central Finance with regular sales invoicing to ensure it is undertaken on a timely basis and proof in total for income is maintained. Perform other duties as may be required from time to time. To work with due regard to confidentiality and the principles of Data Protection whilst encouraging others to do the same. The ideal candidate will be ACCA/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience. You will be an accomplished leader with the ability to organise your time effectively and prioritise workload efficiently. Advance Excel skills are highly advantageous to this client along with good IT knowledge. You will be able to demonstrate past experience of producing management accounts and be able to efficiently work to tight deadlines. It is important to note the successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check upon appointment.
