Your new company The company is an ambitious and professional SME-sized specialist engineering organisation. They have expanded rapidly and have big growth plans. They are now looking to recruit an Interim Procurement Manager on a temporary contract for 6 months, to develop the procurement function and support the implementation of an ERP system. The role will be based from fantastic offices in Warwickshire and, once established, could offer some flexibility for hybrid working. Your new role The Interim Procurement Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a procurement strategy designed to support the growth plans of the organisation. The role will support the installing of a new ERP system and ensure procedures are reviewed to support the maximisation of the implementation. The Interim Procurement Manager will lead procurement activities including sourcing, negotiation and supplier management. The role will manage the purchasing team and develop purchasing strategies to develop collaborative supplier relationships, maximise inventory levels and minimise costs. Additionally, the Interim Procurement Manager will make recommendations on the future structure and role profiles, and will coach the team to develop their skills and procurement expertise. What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will be a Procurement Manager with strong experience of managing and transforming procurement functions within SME-sized businesses, ideally within the engineering or skilled manufacturing sector. You will have proven experience of supporting ERP system implementation and development. You will have reviewed, developed and implemented policies and procedures. You will be a strong people manager and have superb stakeholder engagement skills. You will be well-organised, be a self-starter and be able to hit the ground running.
