The role The role is wide ranging in scope and responsibility but will primarily be responsible for achieving timely delivery of production materials to the manufacturing team, whilst maintaining targeted inventory turn performance and supporting the business requirements by purchasing assigned commodities to ensure quality, delivery and specification requirements are met. Senior Buyer The Company: If you are an experienced and confident Buyer who is used to working independently within a busy engineering or manufacturing environment: then look no further! This Exeter manufacturer form part of a large, international business supplying products to the automotive industry. The Senior Buyer will report directly to the global purchasing manager, in a varied and interesting role. Job Responsibilities: To achieve timely delivery and supply of production materials to the manufacturing team, whilst maintaining targeted inventory turn performance. Main point of contact and relationship manager for a key supplier. Negotiating cost and lead times with suppliers, communicating material demand to suppliers, effectively managing demand fluctuations.
