Procurement Assistant Location: Weybridge Job Type: Full-time Salary Range: £23,000 - £29,000 We are partnered with an established business based in Weybridge, and are assisting them with their search for a proactive and organised Procurement Assistant to support their procurement operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing equipment, goods, and services, and managing vendors. The ability to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals, and find more profitable suppliers is crucial. Day to Day of the Role: As Procurement Assistant, you will help with the development and implementation of procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money. Perform all procurement-related tasks such as preparing purchase orders, soliciting bid proposals, and reviewing requisitions for goods and services. Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities. Negotiate contracts on behalf of the organisation to ensure the best possible prices and terms. Review and analyse all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options. Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies; manage inventory levels and maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. Work closely with the team to ensure clear requirements documentation. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand. Required Skills & Qualifications: A degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience as a Procurement Assistant or in a similar position. Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management. A knack for negotiation and networking. Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures. Solid judgement with the ability to make good decisions. Strong leadership capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
