The Company This client is a large-scale global firm, who is growing and building their brand in markets throughout the world. The Role As Assistant Management Accountant you will be responsible for working closely within the Finance Team and will provide support to the Management Accountant with providing assistance with month-end duties, preparation of management accounts and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Collaborating closely with operations colleagues to oversee spending across operational delivery, encompassing on-site teams, third-party works, and parts expenditure. Ensuring timely completion of all month-end tasks according to agreed schedules and meeting relevant deadlines. Compiling monthly management accounts for customer head office locations, including ownership of profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Managing finance postings for areas such as Fleet and Mobile devices and liaising with operational teams to identify trends. Coordinating billing activities across the team to ensure timely invoicing. Providing support for ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed within the team. Meraki Accountancy & Finance's market leading client are keen to add a Financial Accountant to the current team on a permanent role in Glasgow. Key duties of the role included: In charge of producing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts to facilitate financial reporting. Responsible for the management accounting for several group companies' Guarantee the timely completion of monthly closing procedures, ensuring accurate and precise recording of transactions. Consistently assess processes to enhance workflows associated with the closing procedure, aiming to boost the efficiency of the reporting process. Have been involved in accounting for the takeover of new companies and assets. Submitting monthly/quarterly VAT and CIS returns to the appropriate tax authority and managing payments to settle any liabilities. Qualifications: ICAS / ACCA /CIMA Qualified Accountant with relevant PQE Strong analytical skills and able to deal with a variety of financial reporting and finance system related queries. Proven experience in dealing with a client portfolio and working towards tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in using Microsoft Word/Excel. Prior experience in property is beneficial, however not essential for this role.
