My clients are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join their team, playing a pivotal role in assisting with financial reports, data analysis for business decisions, and management accounting. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Finance and contribute to the creation of a business partnering approach, providing commercial and analytical support across the organisation. Day to Day of the role: Assist with month-end preparation, including accruals, pre-payments, tax reconciliations, stock review, and P&L and balance sheet analysis. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure cover of duties and timely delivery to meet deadlines. Conduct regular reviews of creditors and resolve any issues in conjunction with the Finance Assistant. Manage the royalties process in collaboration with the Marketing team. Foster a business partnering approach with cost centre owners, reviewing results and identifying improvement opportunities. Implement process improvements and support system developments. Provide support for product costing and analysis activities. Contribute to the annual budget process and year-end audit. Monitor and report on significant cost areas to the Head of Finance. Produce commercial analysis as required. Required Skills & Qualifications: ACCA or CIMA qualification, or equivalent experience; candidates currently studying will also be considered. Considerable experience within a finance role, including familiarity with P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow preparation. Intermediate level Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and use initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Flexible approach and ability to work well within a team. Experience with an ERP system and in an SME e-commerce/manufacturing B2C environment is advantageous. This is a new role offering a salary up to £35,000 depending on experience Description Assistant Finance Manager responsibilities include: Responsible for period end which involves prepayment and accrual journals Payroll reconciliations in a timely, accurate manner for weekly and monthly payrolls. Raising the customer invoices and checking variances to ledger postings Raise online Purchase Orders and ad-hoc payment requests for site. Producing weekly customer Flash and KPI pack including assisting with commentary. Delivery of accurate and timely financial reports Assist with customer period pack production. Production of balance sheet and supporting documentation Open and closed book. Support with the preparation of annual budgets and customer forecasts to strict timelines and standards. Develop strong relationships with both operational managers and the customer. Reporting and monitoring of KPI's to support service delivery and contractual commitments. Producing ad-hoc reports, costings and expenditure trend analysis as required.
