Our client, as part of their ongoing expansion, is looking for an engineer, based in London or the Home Counties to work in a home based capacity, focusing on the installation, maintenance and servicing of their access control products on client sites.
The successful candidate will have a broad engineering background covering electrical and mechanical elements primarily, and an understanding of the specifics of Automatic Gates/Barriers and Roller Shutters.
They have a diverse product set, so provided you have a good understanding of some of their products, full training will be given on the others.
Provide technical support: Offer day-to-day technical and operational support to building managers and occupiers, assist with permit-to-work systems, and liaise with stakeholders on operational and technical matters.
Manage contracts: Organize and participate in monthly meetings with service partners, monitor the functioning of plant and systems through the building management system, conduct random checks on critical plant operations, review contractor reports and proposals, perform regular audits and inspections of plant and equipment, and attend site during shutdowns and emergencies as needed.
Ensure compliance: Stay updated with current legislation and standards, verify contractors' risk assessments, maintain pressure vessel written schemes and emergency lighting logs, manage water treatment regimes, oversee lift inspections, and ensure all statutory inspections are completed on time.
