A great opportunity to join a globally operating and successful logistics / automation company as a multi skilled Maintenance Shift Supervisor working at a well-known retailers automated distribution centre in Somerset. In this role of Shift Supervisor, you will be approximately 60% hands on supporting your team of 2 engineers, and then 40% of the time completing management duties. Ideally seeking a multi skilled engineer with knowledge of automated distribution or FMCG industries. Salary of c£45k £5k Shift allowance Panama shift pattern (12 hour days and nights) Day to day activities of a maintenance Shift Supervisor include : Management duties such as training, development, appraisals, holiday leave, discipline action if required, welfare and wellbeing Reactive maintenance Planned maintenance Problem analysis and continuous improvement Requirements of maintenance Shift Supervisor: Proven management / leadership experience Ideally fully apprenticeship trained with level 3 engineering qualifications, ideally ONC / HNC Good level of electrical and mechanical knowledge from a manufacturing, automated distribution or FMCG environment Happy to work a continental shift pattern with days and nights.
