Business Analyst Business Analyst required by a leading UK charity organisation to support on a wide range of business and technology projects and programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join a vibrant team, work on exciting projects and help form a Business Analyst community. This organisation has a lot of changes coming up which require Business Analyst support, so you will get to apply your skills across projects to deploy new hardware, software and applications as well as site improvement plans and projects. There are also other interesting projects planned in the future such as new contact centre and ERP solutions. Day-to-day you will work with different departments and functions to map and analyse their operational processes, tuning processes that may be inefficient or implemented based on legacy technology or governance. You will understand the priorities and needs of the technology stakeholders, facilitating the capturing and analysing of requirements and upcoming demand to effectively support the delivery of appropriate IT solutions. Working with colleagues from across the IT team, you will support in the development of business cases for new solutions and enhancements to existing technologies, helping to surface opportunities for improved value for money and efficiencies. The current Business Analysis team is made up of 4 BA's of varying levels and there is the opportunity to also coach more junior members of the team and help form a true BA community for the organisation. To be considered you will be a friendly, approachable Business Analyst with the following: Strong Business Analysis skills and experience of working on multiple, successful end-to-end business and technology projects and programmes Experience of working in a public sector or charity organisation is preferred (but other sectors backgrounds will be considered) Strong experience in business engagement and managing stakeholder expectations Strong skills in converting business wants and needs into functional, non-functional technical requirements and capabilities Excellent experience of modelling business processes and defining the "As-Is" and "To-Be" processes A good breadth of IT knowledge and ability to understand and articulate the typical challenge faced by various business units Strong communication, active listening, presentation and documentation skills In return, you can expect the following remuneration package: Salary up to £48,400 10% Pension Scheme 25 Days Holiday Bank Holidays Hybrid Working (you can expect to be in the office in Swindon at least 1 day per week) Flexible working hours providing a strong work/life balance Health Scheme If you are a Business Analyst ready for a challenging role in an organisation that has a true purpose, then APPLY NOW! What you'll be doing We have a vacancy in our small but energetic business analysis team which is part of the wider digital delivery team, for an experienced business analysis with a strong background in process implementation and improvement. Whilst the role is not limited to process only, it is a large part of what we do and as such this role does involve a regular amount of office based workshops and support activities. The systems we use are mostly out of the box products, but we do work with our business teams to implement enhancements with internal and external development teams. The role is varied and interesting and you will be working on a number of concurrent work requests, where you will prioritise and plan your own workload to achieve the expected outcomes. The BA Team provide analysis support to projects and small change alike, so no two weeks are ever the same! Additionally we undertake quality assurance of any technical solutions delivered and facilitate and support the business teams during the UAT phase. Here are a few of the other key accountabilities: Facilitates the capture, definition, and development of business requirements through discussions, workshops, and interviews with internal and external stakeholders. Identify and understand the business problems and work with internal development teams and third-party suppliers to deliver appropriate solutions. Produce/Review As-is' business processes, identify process improvements and develop To-be' processes to establish the required business need. Produce high level and detailed business requirements and documentation that is complete, clear, and concise which can be understood by IT Development resources and business stakeholders, this includes, specification documents, UX wireframes, test cases, business process flows and customer journeys. Undertake QA including execution of test scenarios, support the business conducting regression and user acceptance testing and facilitate bug resolution. Requirements What we're looking for Applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to solve business problems. Significant experience compiling user requirementsand specification documents. Ability to work with developers and external suppliers to deliver business change iteratively. Demonstrable experience of leading workshops with business stakeholders to map As-is' and To-be' processes. Excellent communication skills and well-developed influencing and negotiating skills.
