Debt Collection is a regulated industry with stringent ethical standards, and every visit is authorised by a Judge. Role Visiting debtor's properties to arrange payment of outstanding debts Setting up and agreeing repayment arrangements Assisting debtors in completing questionnaires Taking control of goods when required Removing goods when necessary Making inquiries with neighbours if debtors have moved Compiling reports about visits and necessary paperwork Assessing debtor vulnerability and signposting to support services if needed Liaising with office-based colleagues regarding cases Working independently across different locations daily Handling cash payments when necessary What's in it for you? To provide support to the Residential Property team by providing competent and efficient conveyancing support for the daily running of a busy department. Duties to include: Preparing and sending out quotes. Following up on quotes to convert/obtain feedback. Opening new files. Preparing and sending out contract packs on sales (under supervision). Preparing completion statements (following training). Completing SDLT returns through case management software (following training). Dealing with registration at HMLR (following training). Reviewing completed registration title documents. Reporting to clients and lenders following completion of registration. Update clients, estate agents and other solicitors on the progress of transactions.
