We are currently working on behalf of the Birmingham City Council's Special Educational Needs Assessment and Review Service (SENAR) who are looking to recruit an interim Tribunal Officer.
The person concerned will need to have the following experience/qualifications
The ability to relate the SEND Code of Practice directly to the situations presented by families and other stakeholders, drawing on experience to reach an outcome whilst defending the position of the local authority diplomatically and empathetically.
A high standard of general education with a degree, or equivalent, in an appropriate specialism and a legal background/qualification would be desirable.

Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain effective relationships with parents, carers, and stakeholders through advanced communication and negotiation skills.
Deliver specialist interventions in line with agreed service packages of care and pathways.
Provide highly specialized Speech and Language Therapy, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for holistic assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children and young people.
