Due to this, a vacancy has arisen for a trainee fabricator. THE ROLE Reporting directly to the depot manager, you will be part of an effective team. You will be on a journey to become an experienced fabricator who will push the business to greater success. Some of your duties include: You will have some basic fabricating or joinery expereince, or within education You will be familiar with using hand tools such as routers, millers or drills You will follow job sheets and technical drawings for the manufacture of goods You will be able to carry out basic data entry on computer systems You will support training and continuous improvements within the business You will work in a safe manner, driving positive behaviour and leading by example regarding the company's health and safety requirements You will carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected THE PERSON The successful candidate will have a positive can-do attitude with a good work ethic. You will have personal drive to develop your career, be inquisitive, question and have a problem-solving mindset. Applicants should be highly motivated with good communication skills and be able to work independently, or as part of a team. Former experience of joinery or fabrication either practical or in education is a requirement for the role. You will however be given training to develop further skills. MIG & Stick Welder £16p/hr, Days, 39hrs per week O.T, Days, Immediate Starts, 1 month contract initially GILDERSOME Interaction Recruitment are looking for an experienced, Apprentice trained MIG and Stick Welder to work for a Manufacturing firm located in Gildersome. The role is initially a 1-month contract but has the chance to get extended once you prove yourself. The ideal candidate: Apprentice trained or time served Qualified in all aspects of General Steel/Metal Fabrication and Welding Must be able to MIG and Stick Weld to high standards Reading and working from Technical Drawings TIG Welding knowledge is beneficial but not essential Knowledge of working with Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium Must be familiar using Guillotines, Punches, Drills, Saws and Rollers Ideally have a full Driving License CSCS Card would be advantageous Working to ISO 9001 and EN 1090 Quality standards Day to day tasks will include: Welding/Fabricating and Assembling a wide variety of different products Sire measuring and preparation of details Preparation of cutting lists Material call offs Some installation work may be required Working a 39hrs per week, you will be contracted to work Monday to Friday at a Pay Rate of £16p/hr with overtime paid at time .
