The Role Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts for various Group entities, supporting the Senior Manager - Financial Reporting. Support the management of the production of statutory accounts, including consolidation processes and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist in maintaining the control framework and internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Support month-end reporting activities, particularly in relation to Group Balance Sheet and Cash Flows. Assist in inventory accounting reconciliations and fixed assets register maintenance. Collaborate with external audit partners during the audit process, providing necessary support and documentation. Contribute to the preparation of the accounting manual and ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies. Location: We have bases in Nuneaton, London and Burton, a typical week in this role will be 2 x per week in Nuneaton. There may also be occasional travel outside of the UK. The Person Key Requirements: Part qualified (ACA or ACCA). Experience in financial controls frameworks, risk management, and compliance. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Excel (v look ups, pivot tables) Ability to drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the financial controls function Sound business judgment and decision-making skills aligned with organizational goals. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, capable of supporting financial reporting activities accurately. Experience managing projects of varying size and complexity, communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective alignment with business objectives.
