Forest School Practitioner Job Type: Permanent, 4 days a week (Term-time Only) Location: Royston, Salary: FTE £31,000 We are seeking a passionate and experienced Forest School Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Qualification in Forest School or Outdoor Education and a love for the great outdoors. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about delivering high-quality outdoor learning experiences to children and young people. Day-to-day of the role: Plan and deliver engaging outdoor learning activities in line with the Forest School ethos. Create a safe and stimulating outdoor learning environment for children of various ages. Encourage and support children in exploring and learning through play and hands-on experiences in a natural setting. Assess and manage risks associated with outdoor activities to ensure the safety of all participants. Work collaboratively with other staff members to integrate Forest School principles into the wider curriculum. Maintain and care for Forest School equipment and resources. Monitor and document children's progress and development through observation and record-keeping. Required Skills & Qualifications: A Level 3 Qualification in Forest School or Outdoor Education. Experience in delivering Forest School or outdoor learning programmes. Strong understanding of child development and the benefits of outdoor learning. First Aid qualification, ideally with a focus on outdoor environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
