Role & Responsibilities of the Business Advisor: Directly deliver independent advice and practical support to new start and established businesses, tailored to client needs. Provide intensive one-to-one support to businesses with growth potential and receive referrals from a wide range of sources and respond to leads and enquiries in a diligent and timely manner. Carry out structured diagnostics with clients, agreeing an action plan, offering advice and/or brokering in support as appropriate. Supplement referrals by proactively engaging with clients in one-to-one and group business surgeries as may be required. Utilise and update the CRM with details of engaged clients to ensure that all activity and key data are fully recorded, in accordance with agreed project protocols. Provide comprehensive support to clients interested in accessing funding including reviewing their business and any proposed project, advising on eligibility for available funding sources, coaching potential applicants to construct the business plan and structure of funding applications. Account manage clients during the lifetime of any agreed action plan. Build and maintain relationships with economic development and finance partners such as local authorities, business networks, business support providers/intermediaries attending meetings and raising awareness as appropriate. Collect intelligence and information with regard to the local economy and business advice activity and review gaps in provision for the benefit of future business support strategies. Work closely with relevant colleagues employed in partner organisations and regularly review performance against the agreed profile and expectations. Attend a range of events across the area and provide support to attendees, maximising local business-to-business networking opportunities between growing businesses. Manage performance and achieve targets set for the number of SMEs assisted, new businesses created and growth in employment. Prepare project claim paperwork accurately and submit in a timely manner. Undertake any other reasonable activities as directed by the Senior Leadership team. About You as the Business Advisor: Professional business adviser qualification, equivalent banking or accountancy qualification or equivalent continuing professional development Knowledge of the business support landscape as well as the full marketing mix, both online and offline. Knowledge of SME development issues and other business disciplines that impact on business performance. Demonstrable and tangible experience in successfully establishing action plans for SME business growth and their implementation . Experience of negotiation and offering a credible, confident and persuasive approach to business advice. Experience of working with key partners and stakeholders across all sectors to support, promote and develop economic development and business support activity. Experience of writing clear and concise narrative and performance reports. Well-developed coaching, mentoring and motivational skills. Provide new business support as needed. Generate fee invoices using the company's systems. Requirements : Previous experience in an administrative role within financial services. Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint). Knowledge of IO is desirable. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Good numeracy skills. Proven ability to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with all levels of personnel.
HR Advisor (ER focused) Nottinghamshire - hybrid working Up to £33,000 & benefits including bonus Permanent & Full Time (open to a 4 day working 35 hr week) SF Recruitment are working in partnership with our client who are looking to add an experienced HR Advisor to their medium HR team. This role will be based out of their Nottingham office, working hybrid after an induction period. This is a generalist HR role but will have a focus on dealing with caseload on a day to day basis for over 500 employees who are based across all UK sites of theirs (no travel involved). Meaning it is essential you have a proven track record of ER experience as well as passion for it.
