Andover, Credit Control, £25,000-£28,000bonus & benefits Key Responsibilities for the credit controller: Manage and oversee the credit control process for the company. Monitor and maintain customer account records. Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email, and letter within agreed timescales. Handle disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms. Conduct credit checks on new customers and set credit limits. Liaise with the sales and accounts teams to resolve outstanding queries. Review and release orders on hold for credit reasons. Process credit card payments. Requirements for the Credit Controller: Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage deadlines.
