To plan develop and teach a subject specific learning programme for adults and or families. Undertake an induction with learners for every course. Provide a scheme of work and lesson plans for each class, teaching Health & well being, arts & crafts, Maths and English. Prepare, teach and mark as required. Undertake effective assessments of learning and recording of learners achievement and progression. Provide reports to make an effective contribution to the self - assessment process. Provide learners with appropriate progression advice and IAG. Undertake professional development and training and attend curriculum and staff meetings as required. This is a Casual role so working hours will be flexible. Enhanced DBS checking is required. Multiple Learning Centres such as Brierley Hill, Castle and Priory and Dudley Wood. The role will require the ability for you to be able to, or be willing to develop yourself to be able to; Plan, prepare, design and deliver high quality teaching learning and assessment in the M.E.T skills of Vehicle Body Repair Ensure apprentices gain the relevant knowledge, skills, and behaviours required within this vocational area To help and support Apprentices to meet their End Point Assessment requirements Be able to Create Individual Learning Plans for an apprentice and be responsible in supporting blended learning opportunities for on-site and distance training and learning Be able to motivate and inspire all apprentices so that they are encouraged to achieve excellence within their learning experience Present a professional and positive attitude that will encourage Apprentices to achieve their full potential, whilst aiming for distinction level grades What you'll bring You need to be a passionate and enthusiastic expert within the Automotive Body Repair sector. You should have the passion and drive and want to pass on your experience within a professional and fully operational training environment. Who we need We require a full time Learning & Skills Trainer to deliver a high standard of technical training within Light Vehicle to our cohorts of national apprentices: Key duties of the role include: Plan, prepare, design and deliver high quality teaching learning and assessment in the specialist area of Light Vehicle Ensure apprentices cover the relevant knowledge, skills, and behaviours of their vocational area, to meet their end point assessment Create individual learning plans for apprentices and be responsible for providing blended learning opportunities for all on-site and remote apprentices, ensuring any additional learning needs are met Motivate and inspire all apprentices so that they are supported to achieve excellence and are encouraged to achieve their full potential including higher grades. What you'll bring You will have experience of being a technical trainer or have experience working within the motor vehicle industry. Essential skills and experience include: Hold a recognised subject related qualification at Level 3 or above or occupational competence in subject area Hold a Certificate in Education, PGCE or DTLLS or be willing to work towards Relevant industrial experience and occupational competence Have experience of successful team working and be committed to a team-based approach Be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of others and those training especially students with different needs.
