We are looking for a dedicated and reliable person to join our team as an Administrative support worker in the Hertfordshire area. Our client is seeking an individual with admin experience to provide assistance for a visually impaired Access to training and employment worker. The client would need on support location at their office in Welwyn Garden City for 2 day a week. Duties will include: Hand writing notes during meetings with service users, taking into account visual information. Read back hand-written notes to cross-reference with our clients mental notes and to compile all information into an accurate report. Check over the formatting of our clients compiled reports, letters and materials (which their own assistive technology software is unable to detect - for example font changes, and changes in colour.) Read aloud all paper information including referrals, case-notes and reports which are not available electronically. Inputting data using internal IT systems/data-bases and filling in paper forms upon request. Provide sighted-guide during working including getting into/out of the office. Person Specification Essential criteria: 1. Have a valid Enhanced DBS check or willing to allow for one to be obtained. 3. Admin experience. 4. GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English. 5. Great ICT skills, including using the Microsoft Office package effectively to assist in the production of reports, posters and handouts. 6. Able to manage data input electronically and complete paper forms accurately. 7. Have excellent social skills and awareness with an ability to be observant and alert. 8. Able to exercise organisational skills, problem solving, initiative and the adaptive. 9. Have an appreciation and understanding of confidentiality under the Data Protection Act Desirable criteria: 1. Experience working with disabled individuals or those with a visual impairment. 2. Any professional accreditation. Pay, Hours and Benefits: Working days Monday and Wednesday. Up to 10 hours a week, 5 hours a day Pension contributions are supported Salary: £14.35 per hour
