Matching Staff Solutions are working alongside our client to find a Administration Assistant. You will be providing support to customers by phone, email and also via video appointments, you will be part of the Environment, Roads and Facilities Department within the finance and customer services section. This is a contract running from May until November 2024. Monday to Friday 09:00am - 17:00pm The Role Your main duties will include: Assisting in providing an effective Customer Support Service for the department. Provide accurate, meaningful and consistent advice and information to customers. Listen patiently, to emphasise with the customer's situation and convey a genuine desire to help and support in order to gain the respect and confidence of the customer. Assist with the administration of a number of services such as concessionary travel passes and civic amenity van permits. Log and recieve payments by Credit/Debit card, for service provided by the department via the recommended system. The Candidate The ideal candidate will have: GSCE in Maths and English at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Proven ability to deal with challenging customers and to keep calm under pressure remaining professional and tactful at all times. Strong IT skills particularly working with Microsoft Office IT packages. Ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable.
