Exclusively recruiting a part time Finance Assistant for an amazing company based near Woking. The purpose of this role is to support the finance function, ensuring the company's financial records are accurate and complete and that useful, actionable financial management reporting is available to help develop the business. The key areas covered by the role are general accounting and bookkeeping, management reporting, some sales administration and supporting the Head of Finance. Areas of responsibility: Providing weekly, monthly and ad hoc management reporting and analysis. Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, including prepayment/accrual journal adjustments, General Ledger sense checking, adhering to deadlines to ensure follow on tasks are unaffected. Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, including Fixed Asset register. Accounts Payable: Assist in matching purchase orders with invoices and resolving discrepancies. Assist in preparing supplier payment runs in line with company payment schedules. Approve all PO's before they are sent to Suppliers. Periodically reconciling supplier statements. Updating Sage products, price lists and supplier information. Accounts Receivable: Assist in the processing of transactions from online retail platforms and matching to the sales ledger customer accounts. Sending customer statements and chasing payments. Maintaining a record of customer trading terms agreements. Calculation of customer rebates. Other Support Head of Finance with ad-hoc tasks in order implement new processes to support business operations, solve issues and create a reliable system infrastructure to support growth. Provide support and cover to Operations team as required, principally sales administration, processing sales orders, invoicing. Required Skills & qualifications: AAT, Part qualified or QBE preferable. Must have experience of working in accounts/finance roles. Proficient in Excel including use of some formulae, pivots, graphs, in order to turn data into information. Good communicator who is able to work with and translate finance to non finance teams. Sage 50 Accounts experience desirable, but not essential. Must be local to Woking/Guildford area for this on-site based role.

The Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst Managing the Purchase Ledger; posting invoices, responding to queries, reconciling supplier accounts and processing supplier payments Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations. Preparation of the daily Cash Flow forecast. Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations. Assisting with the preparation of monthly Management Information. Report production for HMRC, FCA, auditors, banks and other stakeholders etc. Assist and support with internal and external audits in relation to the firm's financial activities. Supporting the Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects. Requirements of the Finance Analyst role AAT qualified or Accountancy studier Proven experience in Financial Services preferable. Good numerical skills and the ability to problem solve and be a logical thinker. Minimum of GCSE/ NVQ level including English and Maths or equivalent qualification. Knowledge of common office systems, particularly the use of Advanced Excel. Willing to learn and develop in the role itself and through additional accounting training.
