Role: Accounts Payable Assistant Reports To: Head of Accounts Payable Sector: Creative Marketing Agency Group Location: Liverpool Street Permanent: Full Time Salary: £25k - £28k Ref: VisionFR3039 Our Client is an award-winning, cutting-edge integrated creative marketing agency. The Accounts Payable Assistant is a crucial role within the finance team. The role is a direct link between the finance team and the production teams and other cost centres. You will be required to engage with colleagues across all departments within the organisation on a day to day basis. Accounts Payable Assistant Key Responsibilities: Monitor and respond to all traffic to the finance inbox Oversee and approve all expenses ensuring all expenses are correctly coded, approved and matching to supporting documentation. Querying any discrepancies. New supplier setup in the project management system and within the online banking system Process all supplier invoices ensuring prior approval exists and monitor and follow up on any discrepancies Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts (eg. Couriers, travel partners, etc) Setting up the bi-monthly supplier payment runs Monthly review and documentation of the full creditors listing Liaise directly with the project and production teams with regards to project specific spend Credit control Maintenance of company credit card limits Supporting the bank reconciliation process Monthly maintenance of various supplier tracking spreadsheets Work closely with various members of the finance team on any ad hoc tasks Accounts Payable Assistant Key Attributes Required: Experience from an internship /work experience A foundation finance qualification (AAT for example) Able to pick up systems quickly Likes to stay informed with changes to accounting standards and tax standards A self-starter, self-motivator and proactive Able to work autonomously and within a team Organised and a multi-tasker with strong prioritisation skills Keen to be part of a company and grow with it VisionFR is committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion among our workforce and recruitment and eliminating unlawful discrimination.
