We have been instructed on an Assistant Accountant opportunity on behalf of our client in St Albans. This is great opportunity for an AAT qualified finance assistant looking for continued career progression within the internal accounts team, supporting the wider business across a number of different areas. The ideal candidate will be experienced in purchase & sales ledger, invoice processing, bank reconciliations, prcoessing expenses, BACs payments and supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts. More info can be seen below: The Role: Processing suppler invoices on a timely and accurate basis, and responding to supplier queries. Prepare and process payment runs and electronic transfers. Provision of support to the month end process, including the preparation and posting of month end journals Assisting in the preparation of the management accounts, including maintaining and preparing balance sheet reconciliations as well as WIP and debtor schedules. Support the credit card and employee expenses processes, ensuring employee expenses are processed and reimbursed on a timely basis. Provide support to the credit control team, including helping chase clients for payments, running reports, mail merges and updating fees ledgers. Provide assistance to other members of the department when required. Deal with any ad hoc queries You: AAT Level 3 or 4 Qualified (ideally) Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role Bookkeeping experience, ideally within Xero Strong excel skills Attention to detail Good Communication skills Benefits: Excellent pension 25 Days Holiday BH Flexible Working Hours Optional benefits
