Qualified Accountant Full Time - Great Yarmouth £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications Are you a fully qualified Accountant with ACCA/ICAEW looking for a new opportunity within the Great Yarmouth area? Our client, a top 15 accountancy firm who specialise in owner managed business across the UK are seeking a Qualified Accountant who has experience in managing a portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling, on an annual basis, the professional work required on a range of accounts jobs meeting all internal, client based and legislative deadlines. To be considered you must be fully qualified in ACCA/ICAEW. Duties Include Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring that their accounts and tax affairs are kept up to date and filing deadlines are met Representing the practice by attending network functions & events Being the first point of contact for your portfolio Assisting junior staff in their professional development Liaising with the tax team and other specialist within the group as necessary Assisting clients with tax planning Attending CPD courses to maintain knowledge of Tax and Financial regulations Responsible for ensuring that the firm's standard processes are used in the production of accounts work in all aspects and for ensuring that technical standards are maintained Meeting and engaging with prospective clients Experience Experience of completing private company accounts and knowledge of disclosure requirement Knowledge of the IRIS Accountancy Suite, Xero and QuickBooks is a distinct advantage Ability to prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships and a basic understanding of the tax legislation for both Experience of preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients in a timely manner Able to manage and maintain client relationships and communicating effectively with clients Experience of working with Iris preferred. The hourly rate for this role is £11.44 and up to £12.02 across selected locations within London. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role.
