Responsibilities: Perform control account reconciliations including debtors, creditors, cash book, stock Prepare monthly management accounts involving prepayments, accruals, sales rebates, overhead/expenses analysis Enhance and improve management information systems Aid in ad hoc/project-based tasks under the guidance of the Financial Controller Handle various accounts administrative duties as required, including sales invoicing and credit control Collaborate on purchase ledger activities such as inputting invoices, statement reconciliations, and payments The ideal candidate should possess relevant experience in accounting and ideally be studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA or looking to study. Your background might include customer service roles in financial institutions or utility organisations, where you've honed your customer service skills and developed the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals, handle queries, and maintain composure under pressure but need an opportunity to take this to the next level. As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you'll be tasked with the following: Generating sales invoices and credit notes Minimising outstanding debts through effective communication with customers. Issuing statements to customers and ensuring the accuracy of customer accounts. Collaborating with other departments to address billing queries promptly. Ensuring consistency in coding and conducting month-end checks on nominal accounts for accuracy. Taking full responsibility for debtor management, including handling correspondence, payments, and queries. Assisting in cash flow forecasting related to company direct debits and standing orders. Reconciling company credit card and expense accounts. Assisting the broader finance team with daily bank reconciliations and gathering information for foreign accounts in compliance with relevant regulations.
