Assistant Accountant Location: Surbiton Job Type: Permanent, 100% office based Salary: £32,000- £35,000 depending on experience An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Accountant/ Finance Analyst to join a dynamic team within a growing global organisation. The role is based in the London HQ (based in Surbiton) and offers the chance to support transaction processing, financial reporting, and internal controls. Day to day of the role: Daily posting of payments and receipts in various currencies. Performing daily bank reconciliations. Setting up payments in accordance with the Company's standard operating procedures (SOPs). Processing booking forms, raising purchase orders, and sales invoices. Processing supplier invoices and staff expenses. Conducting sales and purchase ledger reviews and maintenance. Communicating with the sales team and resolving queries. Providing support to team members with workload and holiday cover as needed. Managing intercompany transactions, including journals. Assisting with month-end and year-end duties such as bank revaluations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, sales and cost of sales reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and liaising with external auditors. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience working as a Finance Analyst/ Assistant Accountant is essential. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Proficiency in MS Excel. Well-organised and proactive with the ability to prioritise effectively. Capable of working independently and as part of a team. Flexible, reliable, diligent, and trustworthy.
