Robert Walters are recruiting on behalf of a successful business as they seek to recruit an Assistant Accountant to support a growing finance team with genreal accounting processes alongside an upcomming systems implementation.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Maintaining the set up requirements and controls within the ERP on a day to day basis
The role is part of the Account to Report team and is responsible for Financial Accounting for one or more Entity to deliver accurate and timely execution of Financial Accounting activities.
This role will perform complex transactions and statutory reporting across the set of entity codes.
It also includes support for projects and continuous improvement and liaising with Finance Business Partners for escalations.
The Financial Accountant will prepare routine management and statutory accounts for various entities as required, provide information and support to budget holders across the business as well as analysing financial data to support operational budget control and projects
The Financial Accountant will perform a variety of tasks to support sound financial discipline and control.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will work closely with the wider Financial Reporting team.
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant working for a large engineering company as maternity cover based in Birkenhead.
To assist in the delivery of accurate and timely financial information and maintain a robust control environment and culture of continuous improvement.
Establish collaborative relationship with the Shared Service Teams, co-ordinating and supporting them to ensure the shared service scope is delivered.
Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the Accountant, this role involves the preparation of monthly reporting information to the business to assist in the effective management of budgets.
As well as the preparation of accruals and prepayments and the posting of journals in the general ledger system, the role will also involve providing tailored reports to budget holders, assisting with quarterly VAT reporting, daily cashflow, fixed assets, budget production, contributing to the annual statutory accounts and the compilation and provision of information to the annual external audit.
We would accept applications from candidates who are part qualified or working towards a recognised accountancy qualification, with the potential for a salary uplift upon completion.
