Due to business changes this one-of-a-kind practice are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to carry out day to day accounts preparation, bookkeeping and VAT returns. ?? Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience and training requirements ??Location: Edenbridge ?? Hours: 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. ?? The role: As a Client Manager you would have more responsibility, to the duties listed below, including but limited to, organising workflow for a group of clients and day to day contact with them as appropriate. Completion of periodic and statutory accounts. Completion of accounts/audit preparation programmes. Completion of money laundering documentation. Ensure correct disclosures in accordance with Companies Acts. Prepare Financial Reporting. Review and Benchmarking reports. Identify possible improvements to client systems Prioritise work - and identify work shortfall or overload periods and advise the Director/Manager at earliest opportunity. Prepare business tax computations (corporate and non corporate). Identify disallowable expenditure. Prepare P11D's. Assist/prepare draft personal tax computations or returns. The Candidate The ideal candidate will have current experience of working within a practice environment and hold strong qualifications to support your experience. You will have advanced knowledge of Account preparation, Audit, Management Accounts, VAT, TAX, CIS, Payroll (in particular) and Bookkeeping. You will be able to work to trial balance and beyond. The ideal person will be AAT qualified or and possibly ACA or ACCA part qualified with a solid background in accounts preparation gained across a range of business entities. This is a minimal requirement and salary offered will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Your new role - To prepare, send and submit accounts & tax returns for our clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies. - To communicate with clients via phone, email, social media and in person, including chasing records - To support Client Managers / onboard new clients and integrate them into theirs / your portfolio - this will include bookkeeping, compliance etc to then be handed over to the relevant department. - To complete, review and prepare bookkeeping, VAT returns and CIS. - To maintain electronic filing of books and records both internally and management of client administration and records. - To act as liaison between clients and HM Revenue & Customs to deal with and resolve queries. - To participate in activities necessary to support the smooth running of the office environment. - To manage and maintain your professional development and learning including any relevant CPD required by your professional body. What you'll need to succeed - Experience working in a fast-paced accountancy practice with responsibility for a varied caseload of clients, supported by a membership to a professional body. - Must be able to prepare accounts & tax returns for clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies. - Experience utilising Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT and Free Agent. (Highly desirable although not essential). - Able to navigate Microsoft packages, specifically Word and Excel. - Effective at time management with the ability to work to tight deadlines and deal with newly emerging priorities day-to-day without compromising attention to detail.
