Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software At least 2 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant role AAT qualified with the desire to progress on to further studies (CIMA/ACCA) Good organizational skills and time management skills Excellent attention to detail Strong communication skills and confidence to raise concerns. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant - Firm of Accountants - Preston Outsourced cloud book-keeping for a variety of clients. Preparation of Vat Returns and submission to HMRC following client approval. Proficient use of Cloud systems in all activities, providing training and support to clients both at their premises and remotely. Key Tasks Analysing client transactions, particularly in relation to bank and cash. Completing Bank reconciliations, liaising with clients via phone and email to obtain missing information and explanations for transactions within the records. Providing book-keeping services to clients, along with completion of VAT returns. Ensure the Senior Business Accounts Manager or relevant senior staff member associated with the client is kept informed of progress and that accurate time records are maintained for billing purposes. Use of Cloud systems in above - e.g., Dext, Xero and Quickbooks. Conduct training of clients in use of Cloud systems and attend their premises to assist with same; dealing with telephone queries in use of systems. Some assistance with statutory accounts preparation may be required from time to time. We are seeking a candidate who has Bookkeeping experience working in an Accountancy Practice.
